What the Harrier V6 front kit settles

Key takeaways

  • Scope: a front axle V6 six-piston set for the Toyota Harrier, planned around 18–21 inch wheels.
  • On the record: 18 inch pairs with 345 mm or 355 mm discs, 19 inch with 355 mm or 380 mm, and the carton is 45 x 45 x 45 cm at 45 kg.
  • Still open: the exact year, market and trim; the bracket and bell follow the approved vehicle file.
  • Before release: installation stays Confirm before order, and the live price is USD 518 a set.

The old page had a problem worth naming. Its hero said MOQ 1 set and its schema promised 5 years of defect cover, while the body below told buyers to take MOQ, lead time and warranty from the quotation. This Toyota Harrier front brake caliper kit record keeps one answer for each, and the leftovers go on the backend list.

Harrier buyers: owners, workshops, importers

Three buyer types reach this page, and they send three different files.

Owners and workshops

The Harrier is a road car, and the newest one sits on the same GA-K platform family as the RAV4. Owners arrive with a 19 or 20 inch wheel already fitted and want to know what fits behind it. Workshops ask a blunter question: which bracket and disc do we order, and how long until it lands.

Importers and fleet buyers

An importer usually brings a list rather than a single car. On the Harrier that list splits fast, because an XU60 from 2016 and an XU80 from 2021 do not share a front brake file. We keep one record per VIN so the batch never collapses into a guess.

We do not claim a universal fit, a factory relationship or a performance figure. No brake test exists for this SKU, so none is published.

The XU60 and XU80 file the quotation starts from

Five fields open the file, and the first three decide whether the machine shop gets a drawing. The Harrier changed chassis in 2013 and again in 2020, so the enquiry starts with the car, not with the kit.

Wheel18–21 inch planning referencesDiameter and width; ET and J when the rims are aftermarket
Disc interfaceFixed in the quotationApprove diameter, thickness, bell height and centre bore

ET – the distance from the mounting face to the wheel centre line. The J value – the bead-profile code stamped into the rim. We ask for those two numbers only on aftermarket rims; a factory wheel needs its diameter, and the VIN does the rest.

Rotor planning across 18, 19, 20 and 21 inch wheels

Planning reference only. The three rows below are the seller’s own starting values for this SKU; they do not replace a VIN check, factory brake data or a wheel measurement.

WheelOn the recordMeasure before approval
18 inch345 mm or 355 mmSpoke shape, inner barrel, wheel width and offset
19 inch355 mm or 380 mmWheel geometry, factory brake envelope and bracket position
20 inch and 21 inch380 mmWheel construction, tyre package, disc offset and hose movement

Diameter is not clearance

Two wheels of the same diameter can sit completely differently around a caliper, because offset, spoke shape and barrel space all move. A market Harrier kit is listed for the older generation as available for 330 mm rotors and bigger only, and the same catalogue spans 286 mm, 304 mm, 330 mm, 356 mm, 380 mm and 405 mm across its range. That is market data, not this SKU’s specification, and the thickness and hat height that ship are named in the quotation.

The front set, part by part

Five groups leave the factory in this set. The quantities are on the record; the finish and the interface work are settled later.

GroupQuantity on the recordSettled in the quotation
Front caliper2 calipersFinish and the exact unit that ships
Adapter bracket2 bracketsMachined to the approved front-axle mounting points
Brake rotor2 rotorsDiameter, thickness, bell height and mounting data
Brake pad4 padsPad specification matched to the supplied calipers
Brake hose2 hosesFitting type, routing and a full-lock check

One axle, and one alternative

Rear calipers and parking-brake parts are quoted as their own set. A calipers-only request is possible as well, but it opens a separate engineering file: the disc, bracket, pad and hose decisions no longer come with the front set.

Material grades on file, and the gaps this record owns

The site material record lists 7050 aluminium alloy for the caliper body, hat and bracket, ceramic friction material for the pads and high-carbon cast iron for the discs. Those are the values the seller publishes across caliper pages, and no batch report is held for this SKU.

The old page handled this badly. It told every reader that material grade, process, finish and performance data were missing, which is true of a batch report and false of the material standard. Two gaps do stay open: the record publishes no factory part number, and no brake test exists for this set, so no stopping distance, fade or bias number appears here. The printable clearance template that would settle a spoke argument does not exist for this SKU either.

Sources checked for this record: the Wikipedia Toyota Harrier entry for the XU60 and XU80 timeline, and the Wikipedia disc-brake entry for the caliper and disc terms. Neither proves fitment on a particular car. The fitment wording on this page was checked by the SteedLuxParts fitment desk; page updated on 2026-09-22.

How a Harrier order moves from quotation to carton

One car

The vehicle file comes first. Once the disc and bracket answers are approved we issue the quotation, production starts after a 30% deposit, and the build runs 3–7 business days. Delivery takes about 20–35 business days, with the balance settled before the set leaves the factory. Nothing is machined while the file is still open.

Batches and resale

The live page shows USD 518 a set, and MOQ opens at 1 set, so a sample can be fitted before a container is committed. Batch pricing is fixed in the quotation. Packing is a 45 x 45 x 45 cm carton at 45 kg gross on the record, and we re-weigh each finished set. Defect cover runs 5 years and takes in manufacturing and quality faults only; wear and incorrect fitting fall outside it.

Questions that arrive before a Harrier deposit

Does this kit fit every Toyota Harrier, including the XU30?

No. Harrier generations carry different chassis codes and different front brakes, so an XU30, an XU60 and an XU80 are three separate reviews. Send the VIN with the year and trim, and we match the record before anything is cut.

Which rotor does the record pair with an 18 inch Harrier wheel?

The record lists 345 mm or 355 mm for 18 inch wheels, 355 mm or 380 mm for 19 inch, and 380 mm for 20 inch and 21 inch. Those are planning values. A market Harrier kit starts at 330 mm and runs up to 405 mm in the same catalogue, so the wheel geometry still decides and the quotation names the disc that ships.

What ships in the V6 front set, and how is it packed?

The record lists 2 calipers, 2 adapter brackets, 2 rotors, 4 brake pads and 2 brake hoses. Packing is a single export carton listed at 45 kg gross, and we re-weigh the finished set before dispatch.

Which vehicle data has to reach us before the deposit?

VIN, model year, market and trim, wheel diameter and width, ET and J if the rims are aftermarket, the factory caliper and disc photos, and the rotor size you are aiming for. Photographs of the front corner save a week of back-and-forth.

Can the set be supplied as calipers only?

Yes, but as its own quotation. Rotor, bracket, pad and hose data are then reviewed separately, and the front-set assumptions on this page do not carry over.

Is the V6 caliper a branded unit, and what do the badges mean?

The set is sold under the V6 series name, and no brand authorization or factory relationship is claimed. Cast badges and boxes in the photos belong to the seller’s kit family; they are not proof of origin or of fitment.

Photos of the blue set, and the next step

Nine of the pictures below come from the seller’s kit family: white-background blue samples, a kit flat-lay, a display-stand shot and a factory sheet. Three are shared template images. None of the twelve is a photograph of a Harrier build, and the car in the workshop frames is not identified.

Send the VIN with the year, market and trim, the wheel size and offset, ET and J if the rims are aftermarket, and photos of the factory caliper and disc. We come back with the disc size, the bracket drawing and the price for the set.
