A4 B7 Six-Piston Front Kit at a Glance

The short version

  • Built for the 2004–2008 Audi A4 B7 (Typ 8E/8H) front axle only; the rear axle and factory S4 or RS4 parts are separate files.
  • Six-piston 8N calipers, with the hat and adapter bracket machined to your car’s own hub and knuckle data.
  • Rotor rows track wheel size: 345/355 mm at 18 inch, 380 mm at 19 inch, 380/400 mm at 20 inch.
  • No drawing or template is on file for this SKU yet, so the installation type stays Confirm before order until your VIN, wheel and clearance check close the file.

A Wheel-First Route to Bigger Front Brakes on a B7

This Audi A4 B7 big brake kit opens with your car’s record and your wheel, because on a B7 the wheel decides how far the rotor row can go; the parts and terms come after.

What one set is

A made-to-order front axle kit: two six-piston 8N calipers, two vehicle-specific adapter brackets, two rotors on aluminium hats, one ceramic pad set and two braided hoses. We cut the hats and brackets after the fitment file opens, so the set matches your build instead of a shelf drawer.

How the file opens

Send the VIN or the build sticker, your wheel size and, on aftermarket wheels, the ET and J values. We check the factory front-brake record, match the rotor row to the wheel, then release the bracket data and the quotation. The wording stays conditional until that check exists, and that is deliberate rather than a formality.

Scope note: this file covers the front axle of the B7 only. Rear brakes, the parking-brake system and factory S4 or RS4 hardware are not part of this kit and are not mixed into the quotation.

What We Check on Your B7 Before the Kit Is Quoted

Four data points open the file, and two of them come from your car rather than from a catalogue. A PR code – the factory build-option list printed on the car’s sticker or in the service book – names the front brakes fitted at the line, which is why the model name alone never settles it.

Record reviewed by the SteedLuxParts fitment desk on 2026-10-11. The hub figures come from two published fitment sources; published ET and torque values disagree between sources, so this page prints neither and works from your car’s own data instead.

Wheel Size to Rotor Row: the B7 Planning Matrix

Planning reference only: the 18/19/20 inch rows fix the rotor diameter by wheel size. They are not a clearance result, and the rotor thickness for each row is still To be confirmed.

WheelRotor rowCheck before the file is released
18 inch345/355 mmMeasured rotor-edge-to-rim gap; spoke profile over the caliper
19 inch380 mmSame measurements, plus aftermarket wheel ET and J
20 inch380/400 mmSame measurements, plus rim width and tyre note

Two common misreads: a bigger wheel does not decide the bigger row by itself, and a wheel that clears standing still can still scrub under load once the suspension changes. The measured gap is the decider. Market reference: kits listed for this chassis by UK specialists sit lower, at 320–362 mm behind 17–18 inch wheels; that band describes other sellers’ products, not this record, whose rows start at 345/355 mm on 18 inch.

What Lands in One Front Set, and What Each Part Has to Meet

One set carries 2 calipers, 2 brackets, 2 rotors, 2 aluminium hats, 1 pad set and 2 hoses. Hat height – the offset between the rotor face and the hub mounting face – is cut from your car’s data rather than picked from a shelf, and the right-hand column is what the desk still verifies on your build.

PartQtyInterface still to check
8N caliper (six-piston)2Mounting face on the machined adapter bracket
Adapter bracket2Knuckle bolt pattern, cut per car
Rotor on aluminium hat2Hub bore and bolt circle from the car’s record; hat height cut to the build
Brake pad set (ceramic)1 setPad shape matched to the caliper; other compounds quoted on request
Braided brake hose2Banjo and chassis fittings reviewed before order

Installation note on file: when the gap between the rotor’s outer edge and the rim falls under about 6.5 mm, a wheel spacer may be needed; below that, the wheel will not clear. Measure it on your car with the wheels you intend to run, and the desk holds the order until that check is in.

One set ships in a single export carton, 45 x 45 x 45 cm.

Materials, Options and the Paperwork Behind This Kit

On the build record

  • Caliper body: cast aluminium; forged aluminium or titanium quoted on request.
  • Adapter bracket and hat: aluminium, with 6061 / 7075 / 8085 grades on offer.
  • Rotor: forged high-carbon iron, with alloy cast iron or carbon-ceramic available as material choices.
  • Pads: ceramic friction material; metallic, semi-metallic, carbon-ceramic or carbon-carbon compounds by request.
  • Finish: caliper, bracket and hat colours plus a custom logo, set at order.

What is not on file

No drawing, template, material report or test sits behind this SKU. The list on the left is what the build record holds; it is not a performance claim, and choosing an optional grade does not change the fitment checks above. When evidence arrives, this file gets a version bump and the paperwork moves with it.

Order Routes: Owners, Workshops and Resellers

Owner or first-time buyer

You’ll start from the VIN and the wheel, and you’ll get the rotor row and the open items in writing before anything is cut. If you don’t know the gap figure on your car yet, send photos; measuring it together is a normal step here.

Workshop or reseller

Bring the build codes, the wheel spec and your target rotor row; the quotation returns the bracket data in a form you can file with the job. Reorders reuse the same fitment file, and MOQ starts at one set, so a sample order is ordinary.

  • MOQ: 1 set, quoted per set and tiered by quantity on the formal quotation.
  • Production: 3–7 business days once the fitment file and the deposit are in.
  • Delivery: about 20–35 business days, running as its own clock after production.
  • Payment: a 30% deposit starts production; the balance follows the quotation terms.
  • Warranty: 5 years against manufacturing and quality defects only. Wear, incorrect installation and unauthorised modification sit outside it.
  • Price: there is no list price here; the set is quoted from the wheel row, the chosen options, quantity and destination.

A4 B7 Brake Questions Owners Keep Asking

Can I keep my 17 inch wheels with this kit?

No. The smallest row on this record already needs an 18 inch wheel, and a 17 inch build would be a different file with its own measurements. We would rather say that now than after a box ships.

Will factory RS4 or S4 front parts mix with this set?

They’re separate systems. The factory B7 RS4 front brake is a fixed eight-piston setup on a 365 mm, 34 mm-thick disc, and S4 builds carry their own factory hardware; nothing here is sold as interchangeable with either. This kit’s 8N caliper gets its own machined bracket, and the VIN check tells us which car we are building for.

What do you need from me before anything is machined?

The VIN or a build-sticker photo, the wheel size and, if the wheels are not factory, their ET and J values. A photo of the inner barrel helps. From there the desk fixes the rotor row, the hat data and the bracket in the quotation.

Can I order the calipers by themselves?

That configuration is quoted separately. The brackets, hats, rotors, pads and hoses then come off the quote, and the file lists exactly which interfaces you would need to source yourself; nothing is assumed to match.

Why does the install wording stay conditional on this page?

Because no drawing, template or measurement for this SKU is on file yet. The note stays conditional until fitment evidence and a manual review exist; it changes when the evidence changes, not when a sales page wants stronger wording.

How heavy is one set, and how does it ship?

About 45 kg measured, in a single export carton, so plan a two-person lift at the delivery point. Freight quotes usually start from that number.

Photos, Sources and What to Send First

Sources checked on 2026-10-11: Wikipedia’s Audi A4 entry for the B7 generation and its 2004–2008 window, and the Audi RS4 entry for the factory front-brake reference used above. Neither page covers this kit’s brackets, hats or wheel clearances; those live in this file and in your own measurements.

Next step

Send the VIN, the wheel size and, on aftermarket wheels, the ET and J values through the enquiry form or WhatsApp. The desk returns the rotor row, the open interfaces and the quotation before any machining starts.
