Two of those fields trip buyers up. ET – the offset measured from the wheel mounting face to the wheel centre line – and J – the bead-profile code stamped into the rim – mean nothing on their own. Diameter is not clearance
A market E60 kit from another supplier lists 18 inch wheels against 356 mm, 19 inch against 380 mm and 20 inch against 405 mm, with front rotor options running from 345 x 32 mm up to 430 x 36 mm. A second supplier sells a 380 x 32 mm six-piston front kit for the same family. Both are market references. They show where the category sits, and they still leave thickness, hat height, centre bore and bracket geometry to the approved drawing on your car.
